I love Disneyland, and I've been there a hundred times or so. I've
spent every Thanksgiving there since 1983: that's 27 in a row. I used
to travel to Seattle on business every month. But I've never been to
Europe even once.

I love New York City. I've been to lots of other great American
cities, too. I liked Pittsburgh. I even liked Cleveland. I've been to
Vancouver, Victoria, and Toronto. I've spent time in Mexico. I'm happy
with my life. But I'm 50 years old and I've NEVER BEEN TO EUROPE.

I had a great trip to Israel 4 years ago. In 1986, my employer sent me
to China, Hong Kong, and Singapore and it was amazing. But I've been
whining about going to Europe for years. This year I insisted. And on
Tuesday, Barbara and I start on our European vacation! She's been
there before, but I haven't. Did I mention that?
